Hushed is a suite of quiet acousmatic compositions written in the spring and summer of 2022. It was inspired by a conversation with a friend who pointed out that a great deal of acousmatic music (specifically in the United States) is centered around louder sounds, impacts, arrivals and swooshing gestures. My goal here was to abandon my previous ways of conceiving acousmatic music and tackle a more subtle and subdued approach. I hope you enjoy it!
